Healthcare educator and simulation professional with 26 years of healthcare experience, including 18 years in air medical transport specializing in neonatal, pediatric, and high-risk obstetric care. For more than 10 years, I have focused on simulation education, design, and curriculum development, helping healthcare teams build clinical confidence, teamwork, and readiness for high-acuity, low-frequency events. Through Health Care Safety Solutions, I bring practical, simulation-based education and Readiness Planning to rural and critical-access healthcare teams.

Gretchen Blackman, BSN, is a Critical Care Registered Nurse with 24 years of experience in pediatric, neonatal, oncology, and critical care settings. A passionate clinical educator and simulation leader, she has supported healthcare teams through simulation, mentorship, and skills education. Gretchen is committed to creating safe learning environments that strengthen teamwork and improve patient care.
